Malign Bracelet of Venom

So, I recently obtained the Malign Bracelet of Venom. There's a problem with it that limits it's use to enchanters 100% of the time and necros a fair majority of the time. It procs "Deadly Poison." This proc can go off during mezes and screw you up royally if you're wearing it. Is there any way to get this effect made so it doesn't proc on mezes, changed, or removed if it comes down to it? Thanks.
 
don't wear it?

there are numerous pieces of armor/weapons that are just plain bad for one class or another, even though they may be listed on it.. use common sense, don't bid dkp on an item that will clearly fuck you up

Actually, I'm pretty sure it was mentioned by a GM that they were gonna make it so the proc didn't go off when casting mez spells. I have no idea where the post was (and I actually think it was was on the main page), but I'm fairly sure I wasn't imagining it.

Its a Quest Reward.
 
In my opinion a slight poison SV debuff would be the route to go.

It would serve as amazing utility, but wouldn't be overpowering. Us necros / shamans would sure appreciate anyone in the raid casting on the target.

Something along the lines of weak veins or something?

dunno, just my 2cp. the quest was way too difficult for it to be a cursed item :/

"OMGZ, how can they complain about that bracer, it's hot even with the poison curse"

This quest was very difficult. Being one of the front runners (not in the first 5, but still a pathfinder), i can personally attest to a ton of sleepless nights over this.
 
happens a lot to my SK with thurg quest bracer when casting Rest the Dead
fun to pull while putting bracer back on :)

No it isn't, you can easily bang this out in a couple hours assuming the cata mob is up. (The quest text made it pretty easy to figure out which mobs it was also)

I rather doubt it--making procs not go off on mezzes would screw up a lot of other items, and making this specific proc not do it would require a cumbersome hack fix.
 
So, it's been a couple patches since it was said this effect would get changed. I was just curious if this was forgotten with all the other stuff. I know you guys are busy. Thanks.
 
Was missed in the one patch and I have been away on vacation. The new spell should go in within the 3-4 days.
