First of all let me apologize if this is the wrong place to report these problems. I was directed to post here by a GM.
This all happened on Miria, my 65 druid account iris_nyx.
I have been having lots of problems in main quest. I went away from game for several months and lost my place. I have finally figured out what has happened, but have no idea how to go about fixing it.
I have completed Main Quest 3.
I *should* be at the very beginning of MQ 4 where you get the note from High Seeker Gavin directing you to the 4 seekers in erimal to quest for them. I should have gem of history, gem of insight, and seeker rune from previous parts of main quest. Rabb restored the seeker rune. It had been deleted, but I don't know how. Gem of history and gem of insight got deleted when gear they were attached to were deleted. I have been told they should have been returned to my bank, but they were not. I have confirmation from other people that I did have them and it's not just my imagination.
Now it starts to really get complicated.
When I came back to game and tried to pick up main quest again, I picked up in the wrong place. I thought I had already done the seeker quests in main quest four. So, I turned in Metalcrafter's Journal, Metal Minds, The Nature of Magic, and Changing Winds to the seeker in the heartlands. I turned in Prototype Codex II to that same seeker and got directed to turn it in to High Seeker Gavin. When I got to erimal and hailed Gavin, he asked me how the adventuring was going, so I figured I was on track. I then gave him Prototype Codex II and got the sanctuary rune.
Here's where I started to figure out that I had accidentally skipped the first part of Main Quest 4.
I got an eldritch scroll from a raid last night, and I went to go turn it in to Apprentice Vaceth. When hailed, he says "Ehh, look. I can't really help you with anything until you talk to Gavin." and handed the scroll back. I started to hail other mobs in zone and got similar responses. But when I hail High Seeker Gavin now, he just says to report to the lady now that I have the sanctuary rune, and she has directed me to find the unfolding portal. I started to ask around, and knew something was up when guild mates were asking me if I got a note from Gavin yet and I didn't know what they were talking about.
I am so lost and don't know enough about programming to know if it's too much to ask to have my main quest set back to the beginning of Main Quest 4 or somehow get flagged to get the note from Gavin for the seeker quests or what so that the rest of the npcs in that erimal area will talk to me. I am so lost and just asking for help. I have spent more time trying to figure this out than it has taken some guild mates to finish the whole MQ.
