Main Quest Help

I have been slowly working on the Main Quest and I am at the point where you talk to various NPC's around the world talking to them about the history of Dalaya. I spoke with the Dwarf in Erudin, gave him his mug of ale, and he told me his story. But I got no information as to furthering the quest.

So my question is this. Do you have to speak to the NPC's in order according to the Wiki, or do they just not give a confirmation message?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a confirmation message; something like, "you've learned about such and such." It's just a little line of white text at the end of the NPC's speech. The NPCs you are talking to are not instructing you to do anything, just giving you some back story. They aren't going to tell you what to do if that's what you are looking for.

Allright, so as long as I see the line that I learned about whatever they were speaking of it counts for the quest? I shall make sure to look for that then. Thanks.
