Magician AA - 'Shared Power', am I missing something?

"This ability will allow your pet's spells and procs to benefit from your Focus Effects and Specializations."

Am I missing something or is this complete crap? I am speaking from the position of a unrelic'd mage so hopefully someone can fill me in.

My 63 fire pet nukes for 55. From what I've heard, 250 specialization adds about 10%(I may be wrong). So we're up to 60.5 dmg. I have damage increment IV. Now I don't know how focus effects stack with specialization, but best case scenario this would bump my pet nuke up to 68 dmg.

Are there some really good proc weapons that I am missing out on, or am I just spending 6 AA's on 13 extra damage every 10 seconds?
 
when spell focuses and the better pets come into play hes doing alot more damage beleive me not to mention when u get some of the higher end pet weps. beleive me that aa isworth every last point
 
Or you could just look at a resistance tome and ask if 20-30 ish aa's are worth doing for three more resistance points.

6 aa's is nothing and even if it makes your pet hit for one more dmg every 100 hits it would still be something worth getting.
