Mage pets and melee crits

When an enchanter slaps a mob with the spell crit curse a wizards familiar can score a critical blast. Why can't mage pets score critical hits when the melee curse is on the mob?

Golems outside Cmal proc the melee curse on you but don't make critical hits either.

Ive seen my pet score critical SPELL hits before. I just cant remember if it was a curse or if somone had casted Shape of the Channeler on it.

If you have the elemental enhancement AA your pet will crit when you buy the starting crit AAs.


Nothing else that I'm aware of will make your mage pet crit other than this combination of AAs.
