Lower Plat Drop Rates in Elds

I would like to suggest that the plat drop rate in Elds mansion be dropped to half the rate is now. This would make this a group zone again instead of a 400+ AA charm farm zone. The Athica gate neck quest is a PITA and the perma charm farm camping that goes on in this zone makes it worse. I think that lowering the plat drop rate would solve that problem and would make it more of a 65 group zone.

Didn't this already happen, I am not up to date but I am pretty sure elds is literally near bottom of the barrel for money making. Have you actually tried asking the farmers to let you get in on the neck action?
 
I have a really hard time believing that someone with 400+ AA was doing this zone other than farming amulets or out of boredom. I think last time I farmed an amulet I came out with like 500pp and it took like six hours.
 
Yeah I got my gate neck helping boombap farm his eternal. He gave me all the medals, I got like 3AAs an hour and he got a lot of plat.
 
It really is pretty bottom of the barrel already. Also nerfing drops is going to actually make it a less desirable grouping zone than it already is (which is pretty low, given its crappy xp returns).

A much better suggestion to make medal farming less of a giant pain in the dick would be to shorten the respawn time of the zone.
 
Yeah, they nerfed all the vendor prices across the board a few months ago. Some items that used to sell for nearly 1k sell for <100pp so yeah.
 
They probably did it for easy masks for the Halloween quest, running to catacombs, quest drops, or something like that, not for the platinum. Elds is pretty far down on the bad side of the spectrum for exp/money.
 
Aisling and I came to elds some time last week, we had a 5 person group just killing because we were grinding without thinking. After about 3+ hours we got like 390p. Didn't think anyone with real goals even considered elds for anything other than mindless killing for hours with mild gains.

if so, that brings back memories of being sick with pneumonia and harassing cyzaine for 2 weeks until i finished it first! (thanks nwaij for some of your help too)


anyways, back on topic...the drop rate of cash in elds is already horrendously low. Its been nerfed twice already as far as I remember, including lowering the spawn rate of the nameds. No one serious about charm farming farms elds.

Either way, my experience has lead me to believe that people grinding AA or whatever in elds will happily let others join for medals and such.

Yep, back in. Apparently going price is around 100+ pp for masks.
Also true, if im farming it with someone out of boredom I let medals rot until someone asks if they can grab them. either way, definitely not a charm farm zone anymore.
