Something odd I found out when I dinged 20 on my mage. I got a nifty new spell that summons a Spear of Warding, a weapon with some AC and hp on it, perfect to give to my pet.
The problem is that the Spear is recommended level 20, while the level 20 pet summoning spell summons a level 19 pet. Since the pet is below the recommended level of the weapon, the pet won't use the weapon. It seems odd that I can't give a weapon I summoned myself to my own pet. Can the recommended level on the item summoned by this spell be reduced to 19?
From the wiki, it looks like summoned weapons from this point further up are also recommended level 20, but that should be fine since at that point mages will have access to pets that are higher than level 19.
I know it's not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things. It's just one of those little 'gotchas'.
