Low Level Content ( < 20)

This is all from my point of view, I am a fairly new player to SoD.

I hear talk that it is only for high level players, that there is not enought content for lowbies. Right now, I am level 16, the only reason that I made it this far is that I found a great group the other day in BB and was able to get some levels. If I was on my own, the grind from level 10 (which was not that hard, newbie field outside of Newport, then off to the Centaur Hills) would kill me! I like doing quests, I do not like randomly running around killing stuff trying to level so I can find a guild who raids or to be high enough to get some quests.

I realize that this is a work in progress, and I appreciate all the hard work that has been done by everyone involved, but I would like to see some content for levels 10 to 20 even if it is just a "Fetch" quest for whatever (now if there is already mid-low content available, could someone point me in the right direction? :) )

Thank you.

I don't know if thats a solution, it could be. I've played 3 chars now from 1 to 20ish, and my only problem has been the lack of newbies to get into a group with. So I would often find myself solo'ing. As a cleric, this wasn't the greatest thing in the world, as a warrior even more so. It might force people to play a class that can handle solo'ing more. Which is why we have a metric shitload of purecasters.

Being a Cleric I find that I can get a group and solo fairly well, heals and nukes, its just finding an area that provides good experiznce. I do not have a problem with groups, they are fun, as long as everyone knows what they are doing. I just do not like running around randomly killing things, I like haveing a goal that I am going twords, does not matter how small the goal is (ie. I have been doing the newport faction quests, but they are all green to me now).

Its been a long time since i last played, and lots has changed too..... but.... i used to like hunting in Crushbone. (i forget what its called on SOD) Its a zone off G.Faydark. Also the Warrens was a good place to hunt at lower levels. Im not sure if that exists now, and it might require some running seeing as everyone seems to start in newport now, but im sure you can get there ok, and if it still exists and is still the same level, its a good place from 10-20 or so.

Crushbone was the best zone ever invented and I hope it will be a part of American History in about 200 years. :911:

Prior to level 20 you have a number of options for hunting. My personal favorite is Newport to around 5, Centaur Hills for a couple levels, Blackburrow until around 10, Shrouded Isle until you get bored of it, and Warrens to around 22. That's not the only option, though. Shrouded Isle is workable from about 10 until the 30s. The warrens you could hit up shortly after 10 and stay in until like 25. You can also stay in BB, or go to Oasis and kill there. I suspect the North Badlands would have some options for you, as well, not to mention Crushbone. Most likely there's other stuff in the Gfay/Steamfont area that's workable, too. Yaralith and MielechA are pretty good options for the teens, as well. Insanely good exp bonus, but a bit more risky (and Yaralith might actually not be that great until around 20+, don't remember for sure).

There's no shortage of content. You just need to get out there and find it. I recommend using http://koti.mbnet.fi/lava/WR_Map.png to get an idea of where to go.

Hunting <20

I enjoy the challenge of the Western Badlands in the teens ... still need to be careful because of the red nasties but that just makes it REAL interesting :)

Let's see, you can also head to Stinger's Bog and then head to the S. Wastes of Tahryl around 10 or so. If you are able to get a group, there are a bunch of orc camps there that would be good xp. Plus, there is Echo Caverns off of Haven of Lore, very easy to get to from Newport and very easy to get from say 12 to 20 in a few hours there killing the Fungoids, Underbulks, and Shrooms. Oh yeah, and Everfrost, if you enjoy roaming, has a bunch of mobs to kill from 1 to 20+ Plently of pre 20 zones to xp in and I'm sure as time goes on more lower end quests will be added.

Vonoria Daevil....Lvl 62 Mistress of Evil
Kiynia Healynia....Lvl 40 Cleric
Pettugga....Lvl 24 Beastlord
Arisil Noblemoon....Lvl 20 Druid
Arwenstar....Lvl 20 Shaman

I headed off to Shrouded Islands last night, and got ganked by 4 mobs  I am hedaing back tonight with my undead spells to see who is going to gank who! ;)
