Loss of connectivity on SoD end, for only 1 computer?

I was playing without any problem DB on my destktop and my laptop. Laptop had video lag, so I /q out, but then couldn't connect again. Now I can't get to www.shardsofdalaya.com from my laptop at all (web server, ping, etc) but it still works fine from my desktop, and they're both behind the same router and cablemodem. Looking at tracert, it looks like the problem is on the SoD end.

Here's the tracert from my desktop, which works fine:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.1
2 7 ms 8 ms 6 ms 10.53.32.1
3 8 ms 8 ms 10 ms gig2-1.pnhrtxegy-rtr2.houston.rr.com [24.28.100.62]
4 12 ms 9 ms 7 ms srp8-0.hstntxtid-rtr2.houston.rr.com [24.28.101.241]

7 18 ms 17 ms 17 ms 4.79.180.65
8 18 ms 17 ms 18 ms ae-2-54.bbr2.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.68.122.97]

16 68 ms 72 ms 65 ms ip-209-172-32-20.reverse.privatedns.com [209.172.32.20]

Now from the laptop, it dies at the last hop:

16 * * * Request timed out.
17 * * * Request timed out.
...

Since they're both behind the same router, I don't know why it's responding to one but not the other. Any ideas?

why is there a larger routeing table on your 2nd list? first 1 ended at 16 outher request timed out at 17 and 18

I think it keeps trying (maybe different routes?) if it doesn't succeed. I truncated it, but it actually continues the "Request timed out" lines out to 30. Steps 1-15 are the same, it's the last (16th) hop that fails in the case of the laptop.

I just got booted, and keep getting the 1017 error myself. Something must be going on with the server.
;(

Meh I keep getting 1017 error Jayelle. But of course I was getting it a long time before today.

i keep getting the 1017 error and it won't let me get near it, i have been trying for an hour now and i still get the same error, what do i need to do to get it working again?

Have you tried disabling your firewall and norton antivirus (they are the only solutions I have heard of besides trying a bunch of times till you get in -- the later always works for me).

Tried...and failed. But yes, I have tried all of the suggested "fixes" including trying to login about 100 times in a row. Nothing works... ;(

My original problem seems to have resolved itself. Had it the remainder of that night, but when I came home from work yesterday it was working fine again.
