losing connection, but my ip traffic seems fine?

I lose connection randomly and i seem to have a lot of trouble connecting to the login server. I have checked and pinging servers in the background seems fine, and downloads running seem fine also. Is this a server side issue?

I was going to say the connection seemed stable again, but after 30 minutes solid playing, it suddenly dropped out
