Hello and welcome to a new and cool Lore Q&A megathread. This thread is is the one stop shop for all those nagging lore questions you had but never been able to figure out the answers to. "Does Kaezul have a girlfriend?" "Why is Jayla Neutral Good when she wants me to kill a bunch of peaceful gnolls?" "Was the Elemental One actually the genesis device from star trek 2?" Those are all awful questions and you better not ask them!

While staff will be chiming in to answer your questions officially you should still feel free as a player to answer any questions you know the answers to! Keep in mind as well that some questions will not be answerable for various reasons! What this thread is for: Lore questions regarding anything in the game world!

What this thread is not for: Questions disguised as lore about how Wiz said paladins were DPS tanks

If you can not play by the rules I will punch you in the mouth so hard my fist and arm will navigate the course of your digestive system finally emerging from your anus at which point I will wear you as a buckler or a bracer or something. THANKS AND HAVE FUN.

NOTE FROM WOLDO: Although Gerick did an awesome job coming up with this thread he did not exactly set the serious tone I was looking for =p. That being said any major questions that I can answer here will be answered in THIS AWESOME RED TEXT! Hurrah! Try not to be too mean to each other.

How exactly was Kelethin freed from the clutches of the mists left behind by the betrayer?

I seem to have been AWOL when this happened and never really found an explanation.

Dio you should be ashamed this is explained in one of the very beginning Junior Lorekeeper quests

The text for this quest would be on the wiki if it isn't already so you're probably safe telling him here without worry of spoiling anything! (Or just link it if it's on the wiki)

Whats the deal with Mielech and the frogloks?
What and why are the Othmir, exactly?
How does the Lady of the Deep fit in the big scheme?
What was the first city Baldakos unleashed the mist on? it's first mentioned at Nagthilian (70 BF) but it is also said that Kelethin was destroyed by the mist, wich is dated to 71 BF.
What exactly turned Rivervale into its current state? I know about the mist and such, but why did it vanish from there?
Who is that Malath dude, and what did he do to qualify as a god? also, what type of elemental spirit is he? Earth/Fire/Water/Air?

I don't see speculation or wrong answers outlined in the rules, so I'll take a couple stabs..

Madness breeds more madness.

First one must understand the nature of the mist, and realize it still lingers in Rivervale. The mist itself does not seem to be the weapon, but rather the side-effect, the residue, the lingering malice of those destroyed by the betrayal that let the weapon in. Rivervale is strange because it appears like no other city effected by the mist, it's citizens seem to reappear every night and carry out their lives as they were before The Fall. These people are only lingering memories though, like images on a reel, presumably held and driven by the Captain who was responsible for their safety, and his good nature's dismissal of any wrongdoing in his peaceful hamlet. Deep down, he still strongly regrets his willful ignorance, and so the shades in the city are seemingly doomed forever to play out the best delusion he can manufacture, but if you try hard and carefully to jog his memory, inquire about every curiosity, you'll see how it all really ended. Memories cannot be changed.

What is the story of Myr'Zarad? My understanding is he was/is the first dragon? Was he killed by his wife, Zah? ( I think its Zah)

However, Wyr'Zarad is also named as a/the first dragon I think. What is their relationship? Siblings? Was he also killed by Zah?

Are Parcelan, Mielech and <evil dragon> followers/associated of Zah? Or just freelancers in crazy dragonness?

Was there a Dragon civil war?

Saitha is Kaezul's GF. Or I may have been going crazy reading The Old One's teachings grinding Refuge. :keke:

Wer'Zarad and Myr'Zarad were the first dragons, mommy and daddy of all the dragons we know these days, kinda.

Parcelan was an associate and trusted follower of Zirvane. When Zirvane commited some mago-scientific research on himself and his followers, Parcelan essentially went mad, started to eat everything and fled from his kin.

And wtf is this Zah thing you are talking about? Never heared about it.

Who are the Mavassi. They were mentioned in a quest by a dude. I want to give more info, but I don't know if it is a spoiler or not.
