Looking to try a Rogue on SOD

I just found out about this server and was wondering if a Rog is good first character. I really enjoy the mechanics of the Rog but they are a weapon dependent class. That concerns me starting on a fresh server. Any thoughts?

I've never leveled a rogue up, but I can tell you that you will get the biggest bang for your buck by boxing 2 characters at one time. I usually do a healer and a melee tank or dps.

Not much of a multi boxer, but might look into it.

Multi-boxing is all but required for low level leveling. The population isn't what it once was and rogues do suffer greater than a lot of other classes not attacking from the back. Once you are closer to max level finding groups is a lot easier and you probably wont need the box but from 1-55 you'll be glad you have it.
