so i played a shadowknight in one of the top guilds on my server up until a month or two ago. i'm completely familiar in every way with the class and it's basically like an extension of my body to play it.

so: what're the likenesses and differences of an EQLive SHD to an WR SHD? how do the combat "styles" work? are all of the spells completely new? are there any similarities at all other than name?

Hello Drem. Its always good to see new people around. Shadowknights on WR I would say are just about the same, with a few custom things here and there to balance them out with WR's combat system.

I recommend you check out that spell listing (note: It is not 100% accurate.) To get some idea of the differences.

Besides that, a simple "/style list" in game will tell you what options SK's have in that regard. Or take a look at the stamina style list under Development in the Forums for (outdated) information.

I personally enjoy playing a Shadow Knight here far more than I did on Live. The spells and abilities are mostly the same, but the differences are for the better. Pets don't cost regents and zone with you, so they become far more valuable. And the class seems far more competent with a variety of weapons rather than just sticking with the two-hand-slashing standard of Live.
