Bring back the old netcoding from the original LD bug atleast til this is fixed. I would rather camp out every 50 mins than be unable to raid.

this is horrible, standing iwth 30 peeps in SK turned into a 10% loss and back full, repeatedly. fighting mobs turned into 0 right side and packet loss scatters :( bring us our old friend

I vote for old coding asap. General lag killed both ours and phoenix raids today. And now instead of a link dead bug every hour or so we get massive packet loss cycles after loading in a 2nd client 50% of the time, random packet storms that happen whenever they choose to usually evry 20-30 minutes or so and with no kind of noticable pattern, packet traps without loss that do not clear and force you to exit, and the timed packet loss traps that happen statically to every member of the zone every hour or so like the old bug.

=(

I don't mind wiping to raid mobs if we had the wrong strategy or if someone screws up, but when lag is wiping us consistently, there is a problem.

I'm aware there is a problem. I worked some 6 hours on this yesterday, and I'm still working on it.

I don't doubt for a second that you have been man. Just wanted to bitch and moan my frustration after having another raid night shafted by lag.

Lag bug not fixed yet, was in ToV tonight and had a 10 minute packetstorm. ;(

Separate issue, need a raid to help me test it though.

So when do you want a raid force assembled? In my opinion, the server is in a worse state than it has even been before. Nexus gets screwed up daily, packet storms and nutty lag results in deaths, and raids are pretty much a no-go. I think everyone would be willing to live with the old LD bug as it was much less of a problem than the current situation. We can't have our cake and eat it too, so let's take the lesser of the two evils.

To Wiz:

Just out of curiousity, did all these lag issues start forming around the time that Nurgock and Kaeren went with us to Freeport and my own connection went screwy? 'Cause if that's the case, I'd certainly feel a lot better about my own connection =p But really, the last few days haven't been as bad as those first few weeks.

At any rate, I agree that occasional linkdeaths over constant lag is the way to go.

But if I have cake, I'd damn well better get to eat it =/
