Login Woes

I am new to Winter's Roar, and have followed the Starting Guide 100%. But I haven't been able to get past the patcher, because when i run it i get this message:

Attempting to connect to Patch Server...

Error: Username/Password was not accepted for file transaction.

I was getting the message last night, and couldn't figure out the problem. So i uninstalled and deleted all my everquest files, then reinstalled them and ran the patcher. After all this it still gives me the same message. I went to the eqemulator forums, and on the top of the page it said:

DO NOT PATCH - Latest EQ Patch Breaks EQEmulator.

could this be the source of my login problems? if so, does anyone know how i would be able to fix it?
 
I appreciate the quick response, Wiz. I downloaded the patchfiles.zip as you suggested, and unzipped it to my everquest folder. I clicked 'Yes to All' when the window asked me if i wanted to overwrite all the files. But i'm still getting the same error when i run the patcher. Could the problem be that i ran the eqlive patcher last night, and WR hasn't caught up?

Patchfiles ARE the files that patcher download, they don't fix the patcher.

Runt he game through EQw after downloading patchfiles.
