Login server down?

Hello,

Is the eqemulator server down? I cannot login into EQ, the www.eqemulator.net webpage is down, and I cannot access irc.eqemulator.net. :(

Any idea how long the server might be down?

What did you do to get online? I'm stilll can't connect and I have done what he said to do.
 
I've been having the same problem for about 2 1/2 hours now, and my eqhost.txt has looked exactly like that for about 3 weeks ;(
 
can't connect to either login server or eqemulator webpage

at the eq login server it doesn't show "connecting.." part, it just freezes up my EQ window and unfreezes to give me 1001 error

I am back to the same problem. Inputing the lethalencounter.eqemulator.net:5997 allowed me to log in once, but I have not been able to login since :( .

I tried logging in last night and I couldnt log in either. Tried again this morning, and it didnt work as well and my eqhost has apparently been as foonie suggested for a while.
 
Seems like a part of the population somehow cant login anymore.


I logged in sometime around 15.00cet yesterday and all was dandy.
At around 01.00cet people started complaining about login server.

This morning when I tried to login I couldn't no more.

It's really strange since I can connect to lethalencounters irc server, but not the loginserver.
 
Try changing your eqhost.txt to this:

[Registration Servers]
{
"register.eqemulator.net:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"24.174.185.97:5997"
}

And make sure not to run EQ through the WR patcher, as that'll over-write your eqhost file. Just run EQ or EQW normally.

Ok i am not a comp guru, iam a average joe so please dont flame. I have done all that has been posted on this thread and am new to WR and i still cant log in? help please.

Login Problem

I have the same problem, i can't log in. I get the dreaded 1001 Error. I have changed nothing, and have not patched since i started playing on here.

I can log into EQemulators web site, and it says there is 66 people online, and 10 servers available, and the server is up. But i can't login in. Are we going to have to modify files? or is this a problem Wiz is going to correct?

This isn't a Winter's Roar problem, it's a Login Server problem. It tends to be skippy, going up and down a lot, but generally comes back up before too long.

If you've tried everything, then there's nothing to do but wait. Once EQEmu gets the login servers back up, you should be able to get on normally through the WR Patcher.

There was talks of login server's inactive accounts being cleaned out, and the fixes from the OoW patch.
