Login Issues

The last 2 days I have been unable to login on the first or even 200th try. Then randomly it will work.
 
Not getting any better. Takes 1 to 20 tries to log in. Either it works instantly the first time, or takes a ton of tries.

Any ideas? Really getting frustrated.
 
It just hangs up forever at the login screen. Either the loging in please wait, or the "a connection to the server could not be reached, please check your......"

And sometimes I am able to login OK, but then there are no servers to join on the server selection screen.

What's your network setup like? Using wifi (try a direct connection)?
 
Playing over my cell phone (4g). Up until last week it wasnt an issue, wondering why the change?

And when I try pinging 184.107.119.106:5999 it times out?
 
Timing out would be normal for pinging the login server.

Could you run a packet loss/jitter test to www.shardsofdalaya.com and post some results? I use pingplotter but w/e you're used to would work.

If you have access to a VPN client, try logging in through it.

Another thing to try is see if you get the same problem using the eqemu login server (would have to make a test eqemu account).
 
Set the trace interval on that to 1 second and let it run for a good while (~10 mins) -- though it looks like you're getting packet loss that might be causing the issues with sod login server -- do you have crash/hang-up when you zone sometimes too?
 
Any idea why the eqemu login works when ours doesnt?

Is it possible to transfer my toons to an eqemu account and work around it that way?
 
Did anyone ever find a fix for this? It's very random. Sometimes it will connect first try, other times it takes literally 40+ minutes of relaunching the client to get past the server loading screen.
