Login issue

Hey, I'm new. This may already be adressed somewhere, but I can't find any threads about this specific problem. Everything works great until I log in and try to join the server. In the "Connect status" box it says "Scanning world servers..." or something to that effect, but doesn't seem to be doing anything. Sorry again if this is a really common issue thats already been adressed.
 
not shore if this is your problem. but if you still cant get in see if the server is down in IRC. if it is no problem your fies are good if not. try to repatch your system start by going to live and patching upto LDON. then got SoD sight and do a patch from there. hope this help you. best advice i can give with out knowing more about what you have tryed. good luck hason the warrior :dance:
 
The connect status I'm talking about is on the server list under the selection window. It just hangs on "Scanning world servers...". Heres what I've done so far:

DL'd Game Trilogy
Patched to live w/all expansions up to...

OH, wait, Just checked my setup and it turns out I didn't have LDON. Just patched up to that, and now the menu and etc looks totally diff. However, now theres a diff weird thing going on: Everything is all flickery and its not using the mouse in the client (but I can tab around to diff selections), and when I try to log in it doesn't recognize my username/password. It does, however, recognize my the Company station password. I guess its not picking up the right server?

<Edit> Ok, so I just repatched w/the SOL patcher. Now the menu and etc looks the same as it did the first time around, and I am having the same problem. Dont know if this matters, but when I go to "Update owned expansions" it doesn't list that I have LDON. If ya look @ the screenshot, it says I only have 6 expansions, but shouldnt it say 7? I'm definitely DLing LDON when I use the client patcher.
 
It will tell you 6, even if you have 1000.

And it recognises your EQLive stations account info, but not your SoD one? And still taking you to the login server listing our server?

And it might be a port related issue. Do you use firewalls/routers/otherwise?
 
Nonono, now that I repatched it recognizes my info. I do have a firewall, but I cant do anything about it :-/. My dad set it up, and hes pretty anal about it.
 
Dont forget to play EQ u need to have an adminstrator account. I am prettty sure your dad didnt give u access to adminstrator account.

Okay, I think there's one last solution. There's a site (unfortunately I can't remember the site), that will allow you to play through them.
