Logging on other emu servs, help please =P

I haven't played any other emu servers since I started on WR, so I had never noticed or cared until now, but I'd like to mess around on other servers now.

I read that the login servers are different port numbers or whatever (5995 is the one I should use, WR uses 5997?), and I tried changing that, but it didn't work (in eqhost.)

I'd appreciate some help, I am sure I am just missing something obvious..

Your EQHost has to look different, it has to go from:
Code: 
[Registration Servers] 
{ 
"register.eqemulator.net:5999"

"eqlogin3.eqemulator.net:5997"

incompatible?

Patching for WR makes you incompatible with other EMU servers, because WR is a fully custom server. ie, to make it compatible, WR would have to use live item databases, mob databases, formulas, and everything. It'd be mini live.

In other words, WR cannot be WR and be compatible with live-based EMU servers. So don't bitch. :)
 
just copy all files and make a folder for wr and a folder for the rest if you want to play on other eqemu servers. wich i can not understand ;)

Marglar, if you want to play on other servers, I myself stumbled accross a link on the eqemu.net forums.

At the top it says "we are DR-6 compatible" click that link. See if that helps your brokenness. I havent tried it because im fine with winter's roar
