Lockpicking and the perfect 6 man team

Howdy!
I'm new to SoD, but my 2 friends and I are starting it up and giving it a try.
As per the suggestions in the other thread about the perfect 3 man group, we've decided that we are all going to 2-box, to get a full 6 man group.

We don't have alot of experience 2 boxing, though, so we wanted to keep it simple. This is what we came up with.
One person will "play" a shadownight, and buff with a shaman between pulls.
Another will "play" an enchanter, and keep a bard following the group twisting songs.
Last one will "play" a cleric, swapping over to nuke with a wizard between heal cast times.

First question: does anyone have any recommendations to improve on this?

Our biggest concern involves lockpicking. We remember there were dungeons in the live game that you couldn't even do in their entirety if you didn't have someone to open the doors for you. Are there any dungeons in SoD that a bard couldn't lockpick?

Perfect group for me would be:

Paladin, Enchanter (played by one person)
Cleric, Beastlord (played by one person)
Magician, Wizard (played by one person)

I've played the first combo a lot, this is the pull team. Life will be a lot more exciting and interesting if you don't feel you have to FD split with SK, there's no worthwhile exp spots that i've found that can't be tackled by a mezzer/pal, paladins are good at self healing, can res the cleric, and are the best at AE agro for multi pulls. The enchanter will be primarily used to buff and mez, its easy if the tank is playing the enc cause they know exactly what is being attacked, due to the lack of real melees in the group you wont need boon, in most circumstances the enc can do many other things depending on how good the player is, nuking booning tank etc.

The second is the healer and slower, they'd send in bst pet on inc then switch to cleric for some pad healing or whatever if needed, then back to bst to slow at 80% and move into position and turn on autoattack. They also get SP buffs etc.

The last team is DPS, self explanitory, I chose casters as the enchanter will be twoboxed so boon will be saved mainly for the tank for agro or whatever, it includes a magician for damage shield, this can add a LOT of dps, wizard for ports and obvious reasons. :)

I think the group you suggested would be a bit low on DPS, relying on too many support classes and probably end up pulling at a snails pace anyway due to SK/monk syndrome :p Pick lock hasn't been an issue for me in SoD yet...

No tracker or scout hurts that group, imo. I'd ditch the beastie for a druid, a ranger, a rogue for manual checking, or even a bard if it's possible to box them effectively nowadays--I've not tried.

Ginam is an exception of course, but he boxes a cleric a lot and does insanely well.

if your good enough you can box any combo of classes

its not that hard, you just need practice doing it and by the time you get into the levels where it really matters you should have gotten enough practice 2boxing your chars.

really wish we could 3box+ here, that was actually a challenge haha

I used to start to sweat on live from playing 4 chars at once, was so much work.

Warrior/Shaman
Magician/Rogue
Wizard/Cleric

This would be my ideal group until very late game as multiple pulls were never a problem until end game. With a good war/sham 2-boxer you can root any adds before they even get near the group as you can hold them back on the tank until the adds are rooted. I would go with the warrior over a paladin/SK simply because he has more base HP and the aggro factor was never a problem in my leveling experience. Also, you would have a lot of sustained DPS with the rogue/pets, which would allow a nice steady flow of exp without the hassle of downtime. As for mana regen, simply buy a 200pp scroll of the flameseer...with the right players you would exp non-stop. As for end game when, you begin to encounter multiple mobs...root becomes less of an option as you get wrecked hard and fast. If you want the mezzer, maybe swap out the wizard for an enc and suck it up when you need to travel or make a tp only char. I've played as a rogue/mage and I gotta say the DPS that I was pumping out was nice and steady. GL!

Actually, root is an extremely viable form of crowd control. You just can't toss root alone--you need root, high cha, and debuffs like malo. If it were me personally, I'd ditch your shaman for a druid and ditch your magician or your wizard for an enchanter. Mage get malo and rods, but with raidly loots your ench can shore up with malise. Either way, you have druid for backup heals and track and some dps in a pinch, and enchanter+druid is absolutely brutal even for the charming novice. As long as you have an enchy not afraid to charm and take it on the chin for the team now and again, you'll absolutely hum with that group.

You're just a Sam Deathwalker wannabe :p

Sam 18-boxes on live. Then he feels the need to boast to the entire gaming community about how uber he is for taking out mobs with 18 that other people one-group.

Beastlord? Why? Have you ever parsed their damage?
My bad
Let me change my previous statement:

Shd/Wiz
Clr/Wiz
Bst/Wiz

Beastlord for slows, agro control, Mana Regen and Dps via the wizards.

Beastlords are the best util class on SoD.

i used to use 1 comp to play 4chars, anymore and i think my head would explode from to much to do. With that many boxes you need scripts and easy access to them and thats no fun. I liked having to handle 4 chars manually when shit didnt go as planned then alttab'n between all of them haha
