I guess I'm just out of touch. I hadn't been exposed to the Chuck Norris jokes before I started playing SoD and reading/posting here, so I thought it was pretty cool that the Ft. Worth paper had a story about something that I thought was unique to the goofy folks that live here. Forgive my naiveness.
 
I can't say that I'd heard of them until playing SoD either. But, I'm not a middle school or freshman in college aged person (OR a boy lol), and I rarely come into contact with that age group in real life, so that may expalain that. :p

Ahh, that must be it! I'm not school-aged either, or a boy, so that must be why I have been in the dark as to the popularity of poking at Mr. Norris. ;)
 
I hadnt heard them much either, some of the ones are really hilarious though. I really hadnt seen much of him in years except for the occasionaly exercise informercial.
 
Hmm, well i haven't been in high school for many years now, but i heard about the Chuck Norris jokes long ago, for example, i saw The Ultimate Showdown song and video over a year ago when two female, yes female, friends sent me the link over an IM. And then in WoW certain zones had nonstop talk about Chuck Norris, zones like The Barrens with its infamous "Barrens Chat." Tho with WoW that falls in line with the teenage males, since that covers about 70% of WoW players lol. I do believe it got way out of hand tho.
 
It was getting a lil rough sometimes lol, though I was somewhat of a contributor occasionally. Most of it from what I saw was latenight and was pretty funny while I was bored lfg.
