I recall some urban legend bouncing around in my head from many years ago, that the lizard make really bad warriors.

Something like they aren't allow to wear plate?


Is that so, if not is there another reason to avoid making a lizard warrior?

Iksars make great tanks since they get a small AC bonus that gets larger as you level. Iksars can also wear most plate, and would only be prevented from a few items that lack iksar on them (I cannot even think of any of these). If you want to be a "lizard", then go for it!
 
At kun ark release iksar could not wear plate (why there was a bit of plate-lookin chain armor in it)... that got scrapped like five minutes after release, when Son of Y realized the only way to keep people buying expansions was to make OMGWTFUBER gear with every one and they were too lazy to continually give iksar plate classes their own sets. I dont know that they ever added ikkys to core game or kun plates but dont think any later expansion gear discriminated.
 
The Live Iksar Tank issue, in the Kunark/Velious era, was as most have described. As a result, Iksar warriors and shadowknights were not wanted.

However, with the release of Luclin+, it was as described by Lithan. (Iksar added to all pieces.)

The running rule was "no Iksar plate until you can afford a "Magic" suit of armor.
