After playing around with my files and reading info on posts here, I've just managed to get www.wintersroar.com working. I'm still unable to download the WR-Patcher and other files though as when it trys to connect to liquidgaming.org it just says "page unavailable". Need the patcher again as I had to do a system restore....anyone any ideas?
 
Very nice to have that IP as back-up. Now...even though both Wintersroar and Liquidgaming are down for me, and i have no clue why or how to fix it, the IP is consistent though so the only thing i'm really missing out on is the wiki.
 
There's a lot behind the "why it's down" story. But I think it should be back up within a few days..

As for wintersroar.com I believe they have to get the registrars registration key from the original owner of www.wintersroar.com to get the site reregistered.. after which, some DNS changes take 24-48 hours to propagate throughout the world.
 
I have the same problems as first person who posted this. I cant open any link from website home even if I use the 67.15.24.48 link. I cant download the fix zip files. I have been playing game great for a while but every once in a while it would mess up and i would just replace the fix zip files and it would work great but something also worng with my setting or something as I am not able to get to any wintersroar links on home page but the wiki works any idea? and now re-installing EQ from reboot and was trying to get patcher and fix zip files along with that

I'll try tonight to place an updated version of the patcher on my website and host it from there for those who have problems downloading it. As for the website, there's an onbscure work going around that you can get to it from... Try going into the IRC chat and asking.

I can go to it via IP.
 
oka well I got the patcher thanx to someones link in a fourm it opened the download. So now all I need to get back is the fix.zip files and the WR version of EQW if you could
 
hmm well for longest time i could play the game great. then today i go to get on and i had some big crap happen blah blah got it all back to where it needs to be i think, but i cant even open any websites/links from WR website like all ones on left side of WR home
