Linux troubles

I am running the newest Version of Linux and Ubuntu and am currently having problems getting the game to run correctly. I run the patcher and it will successfully do its thing, and I will reach the EQW beta 2.35a window and will choose the eqgame.exe file and have just fix eqclient.ini checked and hit start. Nothing comes up after that point. I'm pretty new when it comes to linux so I don't even know where to begin troubleshooting.
 
I agree,i run on ubuntu 9 and it works fine w/o eqw...but wont run under eqw. Cant get any in game music to work tho =(
 
Either run the patcher and deselect "Use EQW", or create a new launcher on your desktop (I'm assuming you use WINE on GNOME), and point it to the following command:

env WINEPREFIX="/home/<username>/.wine" wine "C:\Path\To\Installation\eqgame.exe" patchme
 
thank you all so much, I couldn't figure out how to go around using the patcher.
I didn't expect a response in a day with such a small player base, but I guess you guys are a dedicated player base.
I really am going to love this place <3
 
We just want to make sure you can get in game so we can verbally berate and oppress you. :toot:
