Linings / question for veteran Monks :)

I play a Monk and I am thinking of upgrading some armor (say wyverhide for the purpose of this discussion).
Should I go for ac runes or hp runes ? I believe at similar level it is ac3 or hp12, not sure though.
I was thinking ac since hp is not my forte, but then again ac is not really either :)
I guess my question is should i go for ac or hp, knowing that i would be able to upgrade 10 pieces of armor (30ac vs 120hp).

Thanks for the advice,

Whichever stat you go for, you need linings, not runes. The runes are for metal armor, and the linings for all types of cloth (labeled as type 5).

prices currently range from under 5 plat, to 300 plat depending on the quality of the augment.

Low Quality - +1 ac (or other stat), 2 to any save, 4 to HP, or 8 mana
Medium Quality - +2 ac (or other stat), 4 to any save, 8 to HP, or 16 mana
Fine Quality - +3 ac (or other stat), 6 to any save, 12 to HP, or 24 mana
High Quality - +4 ac (or other stat), 8 to any save, 16 to HP, or 32 mana
Exceptional Quality - +5 ac (or other stat), 10 to any save, 20 to HP, or 40 mana

If you're an aspiring monk tank, I think it would be wise to pump up your agility so your monkly dodging works better. Personally, I equipped my monk with all +dex augs to make him a better DPSer.

Hp is > all. At least that is common wisdom. That being said I am very tempted to use ac linings to get over 1400 ac.
