LF Guild

Greetings friends,

I Just started playing SoD recently.
I Spent the last 5 years on Luclin Server (Live).
I haven't really played much for about 6 months.
Just can't seem to cancel those accounts and let it all just *poof*.
I Still have 2 active accounts, which I'm in the process of parting out and cancelling.
Guess I'll sell off the plat or the accounts, haven't decided.
Anyway, I'm looking for a descent guild.
Preferably not an all noob guild, but not anything like Afterlife either (hardcore).
Somewhere mid-stream?
I haven't seen any guild recruiting going on in /ooc or /shout.
Is that not allowed?
I know it's never been the preferred method on Live, but the populus is quite different here.
I've not played enough to make alot of friends, thus joining through word of mouth hasn't been an option.
My main on live was keyed/flagged all the way to Time, and I enjoyed playing every class in the game.
My 2 favorites being a Necro and a Wiz.

Once I started seeing twinked noob level ones with better gear / weps than the nodrop stuff I had looted
from the elemental planes, etc., it killed Live for me. Not to mention the flood of over-powered Augs.
Then the vast majority of my guildees left for WoW or other "not for me" games.

SoD is looking good... My only handicap thus far is lack of knowledge...
Not knowing anyone and the lack of available information online regarding quests, zones, mobs, drops, etc.
I have used the SoDwiki, and I understand the challenges facing Wiz and the staff, but 5 years of alahkazam's
and all the other online databases has spoiled me somewhat. My thirst for knowledge goes unquenched, hehe.

Please don't take that wrong, it isn't meant as a negative comment, just pointing out that it is a hinderance.
If anyone can direct me to any online references aside from the SoDwiki, please do.

you can go to the wiki for some information, I will admit they dont even list half teh quests there, even more so the low level ones (damn them it gets bothersome hailing every NPC with a name let alone having to write them down in my note book *shakes fist* good times)

Good to see another from Luclin server, I played on Luclin for 2 or 3 years, myself. Using /ooc for guild recruitment is allowed on SoD, but you don't see it all that much because most folks don't join a guild until they are 50/60+. They stay in Dalaya's Beginners or unguilded until the high end, and usually by then they have formed a couple of friendships that help them choose the end game guild they go with. Occasionally, high end guilds will /occ or post here if there is a specific class they are in need of, but for the most part your best bet is to stay in Dalaya's Beginners and just hot key /cmd specialize for guild chat
