Level 34 Group

Kita

Dalayan Beginner
We recently did up to NP Ring III which was a good change of pace, nice scenery. And I was curious if there was
-another quest or something along those lines that we could possibly do.
-a "grinding" zone that required a decent amount of attention.
-a "grinding" zone that can propel us as fast as possible to get us levels so we can do something along the lines of the Newport rings.

The group consists of (all 34):
- necromancer
- shadow knight
- wizard
- cleric
- shaman
- enchanter

Anything suggestions on stuff to check out and quest/kill would be great.

Thanks.

I believe thats a good level for the Heartlands. I'm a BIG fan of the Heartlands. Just step slightly away from any of the big camps, and slowly stroll towards the robot caves, killing everything you see on the way. You'll be getting tons of adds, and near non stop combat. Just pause at every area and have your enchanter lock down everything they can. By the time you reach the robot caves, you may be ready to fight in them!

You may also find this useful, pretty new page:

I'm a pro leveler!

I've had a lot of experience leveling from 1 to 65.. a LOT and since I'm bored at work I think I can offer some assistance. Assuming you all know how to play your class well I think you have a super awesome fantastic group. So here is a leveling guide I would offer you to level as fast as possible in order to attain your newport rings faster! Some things may seem vague but that is because I havn't logged into SoD in over a year!

Paw: 34-39

Unless things have changed I think PAW is one of the hardest zones to do at your level but since all of the mobs are casters or monks they do lots of damage but have very little HPs, which yields great XP as long as your healer is decent. You can also pick up the Blade of Spiritual infusion for your SK here.

Lower Guk ( can't remember sod name ): 39-46

This is a zone with a mix of casters and just tank and spank mobs, when I played it was mostly unpopulated unless I brought a group down there. The drops are decent for the level and since the zone is rarely used there are basically unlimited pulls. I prefer to sit in the SafeHall from live - it has one roamer which can be easily handled especially with an enchanter. And from the Safehall you can basically pull the whole zone!

Another option is the live zone that was called Najena. Now I cannot remember the SoD name for the zone anymore but Najena also has mobs with low amounts of HPs but a larger damage output than most because the flurry.

I hope this post helps.

I'd have to say Paw is the ebst place for the groups level. The throne room alone could jet the entire group to 42+ then deeper in perhaps a few more. I've gotten some very extensive grinding in paw. The main difference for Paw and Heartlands is that if you aren't questing paw nets a much more heavier reward as in monetary value

Surely we cannot kill at the throne room now, right? Reason being, some of the first few liodreths at the beginning of the zone conned yellow at 32.
What are the nameds at the throne room?

And to the three of you, thanks for the input.

Yeah don't bother the throne room yet. Focus mostly on killing the warpaws in the area just out front and to the right side of the throne room. Your group will sky rocket up in levels really quickly there. The big bonus is warpaws are not casters. They also die very quickly which is a huge plus.

Like grake said, paw = win.

U can stay there for a long while, once you feel its becomming too easy head to Lguk (miel b on SoD) or lasanth.

After thats too easy, try out dragon necropolis.. you'll be in your later 50's by now... and xp is going to undoubtedly slow down.

Another question within this:

The main order of business is to exp, as noted - but also to gear up the MT, since he is the thing keeping us alive , unless we have to charm. Charming is a pain though and generally just allows us to res him and wait a few minutes until we are ready to rock and roll. Are there any small camps along the way we can hit to gear him up? He really is the only priority, and we gear up our others from the minor things that drop.

Here is the formelo.

Thanks.

I'm not sure if you know Melb very much from live. I would recommend just slamming out the levels as quickly as possible. Get your group to the mid to upper 50's then camp the holy hell outa Melb for named loots. Doing this will get you 2 things. Lots and lots of exp, but also lots and lots of named pops who drop decent loots. Loots that will easily sell to players. Keep some of the drops for yourselves but sell the rest. It wont take very long to get your tough meat shield some nice deepmetal armor. Once he has a decent ammout of those pieces you'll be golden on him for some time. His biggest piece he's going to get and keep for some time is the warlords breast plate. Thats going to be used on him for quite some time. Plus if you get more then one to drop they sell for over 1k each. =)

I wouldnt be to conserned with trying to get him all decked out untill you guys can farm melb for loots and plat. It sounds like your all doing this on your own w/o any outside twinking help. This is something I did back in the newb days to make really good cash and great exp. I would fully recommend you do the same sence its rarely camped down there.

Hope this helps. =)

Main Tank

When I was leveling all my toons tradeskill items were rare as hell. However if you guys really want to work together as a group to gear your main tank I would just save up your money and buy him deep metal.

greatpaws were great xp when i solo'd them in mid 40's.

I know you asked about tank gear, but since you have 3 Int casters you could camp the Water Mage in mielechA and get them all a nice robe (i'm using mine at 60+ still). The mage room and everything north of that area is still very good xp at 34 until probably 38-40ish due to the super xp mod for the area. You will also cover the maze area that has froglok dweller that drops the Recovery5 tunic if your shaman/necro want it.

After that i think i did Heartlands to 45ish, then went to MeielchB like Gregory said, hit out 5 levels and then your area bonus resets at 50 so you can get an easy 10+ levels there with a fat exp bonus. At 50 you can probably kill Recluse, Master Rogue, Offerer (might be hard), Shade Master, Swashbuckler (will have to evac and run back for this one). If you want Xp just run between recluse/offerer and rogue killing everything, or can juts invis and hit up all the named PHs in a loop if you get lucky and aren't camped.

edit: could probably do some Simple maps as well for decent gear/plat
