Just curious.

Why is there mana on a warior only pant?

Was it intenialy meant for war, pal, shd but then you decided to go war only? was this with in the back of your mind that idea of having mana stand for stamina before you found out the client could not support that? or sme other reason?
 
Does mind shield takes mana into account for pure melee class ?

Also, having these legs Pal/SK usable would be awesome. Once your Main tank got them, they'll rot everytime.
I don't recall any drop with a unique class restriction at that tier, i must be wrong though.... and it's not really relevant but i had to mention it :toot:

95% sure that spell ward takes melee mana into account, just like mana shield (or whatever it was called) used to (where 0/0 mana = 100%, just like 5500/5500 = 100% mana). I personally wish they would revamp spell ward and mind shield to useful things (Spell ward only being put on caster items, and even then very rarely, mind shield never really working/needing an assload of it to do any good)

Possible suggestions:

Change Spell Ward into Accuracy, which improves your chance to hit in melee combat by a % equal to your Accuracy rating, capped at 5 or 10%

Change Spell Ward into well, Spell Ward, which improves your chance to avoid/resist a spell by a given amount. Spread out into points rather than percents, but 5 points of Spell Ward is roughly equal to a 1.2% chance to avoid/resist a spell. Capped at 25 points.

Change Mind Shield to Spell Penetration, which improves your chance to have a spell bypass a resist, as well as Counterspell and Reflect by a % equal to your Spell Penetration, capped at 10%.

Change Mind Shield into Lightfoot, which increases your base runspeed and reduces your overall weight, capped at 15%

Change Mind Shield into Spellsurge, which gives you a % chance based on your Spellsurge rating to cast a detrimental spell at half the mana cost, capped at 5%
 
Hmm waiting for an official reply here, I'm more interested in the "spell ward for no-mana toon" department but curious also about mana on those legs :tinfoil:
 
Last thing I remember is that it was disabled to prevent that from happening. So currently you are getting no bonus from it. They are trying to work on a method to fix it so that it will effect non-mana classes as it would mana biased classes.
 
Adding Paladins and Shadowknights to these legs since they don't have spectacular selection of tank leg choices at this tier.
