Does anyone know what the Lecimka's Minor Abjuration and Mana Shield effects do on Lecimka's Wristband of the Lost? Searching the forums turns up nothing for Lecimka, and the only thing I found on mana shield was:

Don't confuse it with mana shield, though (which uses your mana as a shield for physical damage).

Any idea how that works? 1 mana for 1 damage reduction per hit maybe?

Thanks in advance.

Lecimka's effects all add attack in varying levels, and regen. Minor is 5-8 attack and 1 regen, major is 2 regen and 10 atk or somesuch, and greater or whatever the big one is is 3 regen and FT 1 and some attack. Only item I've seen with the big'un was off a difficult tmap--Lecimka's Wrath, as I recall.

Mana shield is like energy shield from diablo II--converts a portion of incoming melee damage to apply against your mana instead of against your hp.

Makes me wonder the same things that were discussed ad infinitum on D2...

I don't know the answer to any of these, because I don't even know the item and just started playing anyway, but questions being:

Does manashield apply to the damage being done to your character before reduction by armours and other spells/buffs? Is the reduction/redirection done per hit (assuming so, since there's no steady concept of combat 'rounds' in EQ)? What is the ratio of damage absorbed:mana taken? Is there a max amount of damage that can be diverted per hit? I'm sure there are other things to consider... because if mana shield is post-ac and post-buffs, that is a LOT stronger than pre-ac and pre-buffs...

Anyway, just some interesting stuff to think about.

Lecimka's Wrath is from a very difficult treasure map :sadf:

I'd bet dollars to donuts that mana shield applies to damage "that would otherwise be taken off HP (and possibly rune-type spells)".

It is 1 mana for every 1 damage prevented.
