Laptop doesn't like SoD patcher =(

Hey, guys. Me again. Trying to play SoD on my new laptop, but every time I try to download the SoD patcher 2.5 from the website, the download fails. I tried the download of the old 1.9 patcher and that worked just fine, but it won't connect to the server. I even tried to install the 2.5 patcher from a usb drive and as soon as I open the drive to view the files, the SoD patcher program disappears from the file list. I disabled the AV software, but still the same problem. Works fine on my desktop at home, but this is really driving me nuts. Laptop is a Dell Inspiron 15 running win10. Any ideas?
 
Got it working. Apparently, McAfee AV sees something in the code of the 2.5 patcher that ID's it as virus and is auto-deleted. I got rid of McAfee altogether and now the 2.5 patcher works just fine. Didn't like McAfee anyways =P
