Lake Starfall and Kaezulian farmers

Last night I tried to farm beaks off of the birds in Lake Starfall (already a pretty lame farm). When I get there, I am disappointed to see that many corpses are lying around and that someone was there killing them. I did a /who and found no one else in the zone. Nothing out of the ordinary that someone would hit them up and then leave. So I leave the zone. Later that night I come back and find that some of the birds are missing and some are up. Again, no one in the zone. I kind of found that odd, but killed the remaining birds anyways (I am getting horrible drop rates, but it is probably because I am a bard). So, right before I go to bed, I go to Starfall to hit up the birds again. I get there and kill two, when some asshole iksar starts killing all of the birds near the water. At first I thought it was a PC who had been the one also farming the beaks and would be the reason most were dead when I had been there. Unfortunately, this was a Kaezulian (bastards) and he was farming MY birds. To make matters worse, when I killed this lizard...another one spawned about 3-5 minutes later preventing me once again from the farm.

Soooo....

I am asking if this is a bug or if this is intended to have random Kaezulians spread throughout Lake Starfall after the war. This has only happened after the war script was won in Lake Starfall. If this is indeed a bug, can the Kaezulian spawning at the bird camp be removed please? Thanks!

I think what it might be is the Kaezulians that actually spawn in Starfall might have been given massive agro ranges. I zoned in there the other day and ran around only to have a Kaezulian at like 30% health attack me in the middle of the lake.

I cannot remember the name of the Kaezulian, but he dropped a kite shield and a really big 1hs axe with a very small lifetap on it (no drop). I want to say something along the lines of 'a kaezulian soldier' or something to that effect. I think it is one of the NPCs who usually hang out near the portal. I hope that helps. If you are on later tonight and want to find out some more information, shoot Felyn a tell. I will try to camp the birds again and I am sure I will have some company.

Also, the Kaezulian who usually guard the MoP tower are no longer there. Not sure if that is a bug or not as well.

Removed the kaezulians from the zone entirely until this is looked at. Should be safe

Thanks! Now my birdies are safe...from the lizards at least! At least I got a really BIG axe out of the deal (too bad the stats are subpar).

What if these "sparse" mobs are "Kaezulian Scouts" instead which are not KoS to everything in the zone, except player?

The Kaezulians were KoS to everything in the zone, PC and NPC alike. I am not sure how it is intended to work, and thus, is why I asked. Having random scouts would be a good idea...but they should be invis and not attacking random green mobs, revealing themselves and compromising their scouting mission.

I finished farming for my cloak on Friday, but as of Friday, I still had Kaezulian company. Not sure if this is "working as intended", but to everyone walking/running/flying/swimming through Lake Starfall...be weary! They cannot be snared, but they do not summon so just click your heels and run if you cannot take them.

Weird, haven't seen any and I've spent some time in there, not only running through but also just hanging around.

This is the reason I believe it is a bug and not intended...

I would be farming birds and all of a sudden a Kaezulian would spawn and start killing me/birds. I would zone it (didn't feel much like kiting when you have multiple birds rooting you). When I would come back in the zone, the Kaezulian would be gone. However, if I stayed around long enough he would spawn again. Very odd indeed. Also, this only happened at the South Badlands zone line at the bird camp to my knowledge.
