I've been noticing its been getting laggier..

Last night we had several 5 - 10 second lag spikes.

Any one else notice this?

I dunno, the server has seemed more unstable in general from how it was a month or two ago.

Last night in Thaz it was barely raidable with the lag (everyone in our raid party commented as such). There were times when 2 guilds could raid in prison npnp and it was said even back when Forsaken and Steel were in thaz togehter the lag wasn't as impossible as it was last night. :(

Any time i have been in thaz with more than 18 people its laggy, whether it was when we were just starting thaz and forsaken and ruin were there, when forsaken was in upper and steel in lower, and also when steel and ruin were there together last night.
Thaz gets laggy with 2 raids because of the heavy scripting involved with the encounters in the zone.
 
I have also noticed more lag spikes than usual. But it's still very playable.
Of course, I don't raid so it's not as troublesome.
 
I'm not complaining or saying is isn't playable, I'm just seeing if its something that more people than just myself has experienced.

Yes. Me and my buddy get lag spikes a couple times a night. Lasts 5-10 sec...sometimes more. But then comes back...God help you if your zoning. hahaha.
 
I just wouldn't care, and deal with it.
With how much work Wiz and the others have put in the game lately, this is a minor issue... Or so I think.

its more than just a minor issue.. playing a game where ur lagging every 2-4 minutes with 5-10 sec spikes gets annoying fast. i noticed ever since the fix its lagged more also.. i figured this would be looked into without much word needed, as gms and whatnot play the game also and notice the lag...
 
Spikes seem to happen according to time of the day from my point of view. But frequency might ahve increased yeah.
However I noticed for example last sunday, the game was very playable , with very few PL, and more often quick instas than PLs.
But with the multiple patches that followed I fear the code might have been rolled back or something . or is it my imagination ?

ANd just don't harass the staff, I'm sure they're doing what they can about this. Wiz thought he found the way to prevent all this, well I guess one can just slow it but not cancel.
 
I'm also throwing my hat into the lag of death arena. Last night I finally logged off since my toons kept going LD or lagging so bad I died.
I'm not saying this to bitch, but to offer feedback that it is not just 1-2 people having issues.

I appreciate all the hard work these folks put into this server and thank you for it.
 
Yes, of course. I tip my hat to the staff. I'm sure they are doing what they can to address it problem, but...

why has the lag been worse lately?
 
I've also been noticing some wierd problem's lately. Such as instant LDs for no reason whatsoever (just grinding away , no % lag.. and just Pop gone.) Or i've been running into this zoning but where i zone and i come out the other end dead, Saying i fell to my death. If i ALT delete out and reload, I'm in the zone allive (i don't die everytime but i have.)
 
The other night the lag was making tradeskilling nearly impossible. Put the items in the container, hit combine and then wait for over 15 seconds for the combine.

If at all possible, try to do your tradeskilling away from the major cities. South Newport and Athica, though while handy to get to, are very lag intensive due to being focal points for the population.
