Lag when casting spells.

Hey guys, i just got SoD a few days ago...ive been playing EQlive for years and wanted to try something with a more classic feel, the game is great btw. Anyway on to my issue, i get a slight blip in the game every time i cast a spell, its not horrible lag but its enough to be very annoying when casting spells repeatedly. I know its not my computer being unable to handle the gfx because i have no lag what so ever on max settings on eq live, so its obviously something on here. I did patch sod directly to my eq live game, which is updated with all expansions instead of buying titanium and going from there, could that be the issue?

When is he lag? Right when you begin casting?
Also, do you get this lag at any other time such as opening inventory or doing things with your inventory?

If yes, than it is your virus scan

Actually yes now that you mention it, i also get a split second of lag when i open inventory bags, and loot corpses. What can i do to correct this?

Set up an exception in your virus scanner to ignore your EQ directory.

I had this problem on my bard for a bit and just adjusted my virus software and it worked just fine.
