Lack of Affliction Enchancement items?

I've been trying to get some upgrade to my Affliction Enchancement (from now on AE) item for long with no luck. Today I finally decided to check my possibilities and I found it quite discouraging the fact that I only know of 2 better enchancers, one of drops an adept my lvl 65 character can't engage.

So I decided to post about it and see wether I'm lacking AE alternatives or just knowledge about them :). Feel free to post any info about other dropped AE's or agree/disagree with the idea of adding new items (which is not ours, but game developers can follow our suggestions).


Right now (and since level 14 below 0, to say the least) I've been using this Mask of Undertaking I bought from a PC.

Since then I didn't hear of other AE's until tmaps came, and I've been looking for some Lecimka's Mittens of the Lost until recently. I've been rather unlucky and I still don't have them, but I got some other nice gloves (Bloodied Gloves of Agitation) that I think will be a better choice considering my lack of Flowing Thought and my low Charisma (along with mana and hps ;P).

Finally, there's these nice Barbed Shadowscale Boots that I can't get because they drop off an adept.

Necros still have another nice choice, which is the quested Liber Bubonicus, but that's not the case. I'm a Shaman.


This is all the info I have about AE items. Maybe it's supposed to be a rare focus effect, but the only thing I think I can compare it to is Damage Increment. Though I have never been actively looking for DI items for my shaman, I can think of at least 6 items with that property, one of them dropping off an adept and another one a wizard only quested item.

Well, thanks for your time and looking for your opinion/knowledge (the latter will be more appreciated ;)).
 
There is plenty, it's just that most of them are in underused dungeons like Eldenals and Kedge Keep.
 
Beaten to kedge, but yeah, an aff enhance item drops there. There's also a mantle which I think is from Newport Ring V but I don't know for sure.

What drops the Djinni legs, or is that the same kinda thing as the desert robe?
 
We got one for Vissy from Kedge yesterday... Hammerhead's Afflicted Eye, check his Wanelo for it. (Range slot)

To keep the thread ON topic, I'd LOVE to get my hands on something with Affliction Enhancement as well! I want to take some ppl to either Kedge Keep or Eldenal's Mansion, but I've had past experiences with being PWNED in a zone that the zone connection maps suggests for my level (no nub comments plskthnx). Can anyone tell me from experience if these zones are doable by an upper 50's low 60's group? Do you need specific classes to make the group Ideal (IE: Slower, CC, FD'er)? How is the XP? I hate to assume incorrectly, but are they less frequented dungeons for a reason?

Kedge Keep is less frequented because lazy people (like me) don't want to swim and fight, but when they are finally dragged along they realize how much they love that uber 50% XP modifier and want to live there forever. Get your tank a perma DS, because there are mobs that quad super fast for around 30-40dmg a pop, and Relic: Cupoula just destroys them.
 
kedge is definitely less frequented. i dunno why. i love elds myself and yes you can do it with a high 50s up to 60s group. a solid tank and healer with some dps and maybe a slower and you should be fine. you'll want a monk or sk for splitting if your tank can't handle more than 1 or 2 at a time especially on the undead cause they are much harder than the entrance mobs (im pretty sure most everything in there is slowable). i've only been to kedge like twice :-(
 
Kedge is generally unused because z-axis pathing and hit detection is monstrously bad in sony's engine, and there isn't a hell of a lot that can be done about it serverside. The enormous ZEM makes up for that in my opinion--kedge is good times if you treat her right, same for Red Sun Mines and Fire Grotto. As for if a 50-60s group could take it, it depends on how and what you do; it's hard for me to tell because i never went during those levels, but I'd guess no, with the qualifier that if you had sufficiently rowdy CC and dps you could pull it off. A charmed pet would probably be a nice solution, but at those levels the kedge mob would send him to bind in a hurry on a charm break (pbae stun is great, but you can't rely on it in kedge because the z axis borks it sometimes). Final verdict: worth a shot if you dont mind getting greased a few times before you get the swing of things under the sea.
