Keyboard not working

Hey guys, I am a returning player (for the 3rd or 4th time) and I recently got a laptop. However, whenever I log into the game, my keyboard doesn't work! What is the issue? I do not get any error - but my keyboard will not work at all. It obviously works outside of SoD (as I'm typing this on the keyboard). It also works on other games and MMORPGS, as I've played AoE2 (multiplayer) and the Saga of Ryzom.

given the fact your keyboard works out side of SoD, i wouldn't say there is anything wrong with the drivers... however i would still ensure you have the latest one installed. Even though its new, you never know.
Also i would run a ScanDisk, see if any errors come up from it.

Isn't there some keyboard bug that goes around when you use NumLock to do Auto-Run? I think that's the case. Mine freezes up like that sometimes, too. Comes back after pressing some random/unknown/obscure combination of keys.
