I doubt this is the case, but does bringing a full group vs. 2boxing maps for quest pieces have any effect on the droprate? currently 0/31 for the VE piece.

I've completed and helped complete this quest before several times and I've never gone this long without seeing a drop, but that was always in full groups.

the VE and E map pieces have been known to take that many or more maps, just keep at it.

To answer your question, I wouldn't think it would have any effect.

Going 31 VE maps without a quest piece is unlucky, but it's not in the "wow that's unlucky" range yet.

Statistics is a cruel thing.
