Hello everyone.. I'm new to SoD but am an old EQLive player. I am about to get started on the server and was looking for suggestions for a good 2-box combo (Well.. 2-Window combo maybe..:) ).

I'm not sure if I want to do a war/clr or something like a druid/necro. Mage/Cleric perhaps.. hmm

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I just re-rolled a cleric and a beastlord and so far its been fun. In the later game I hope it will pay off with the bst having dot/slow/haste and the cleric being able to buff and heal well. I also played a SK/SHM duo which was fun as well so as long as you like SoD any pair you get should be fun.

IMO I would go with War/Clr or Monk/Druid

I'm trying Paladin/Druid. I just wish I had more coordination to make it work. Or maybe I'm impatient, and just not giving it a try for a long enough period of time.

I also thought of Enchanter/Druid, but never having played a 'Chanter, that looked like more than I could handle.

Depending upon how good you are at multitasking, I'd go with one simple class, and one slightly more complex. Cleric/War seems quite easy (to me), as you can main the warrior the majority of the time to kick/bash/taunt, and pop back to the Cleric for stuns/blinds/heals, buffing as you go.

Monk is also an excellent pick as their DPS is what primarily controls their aggro, so less emphasis on taunting (but definately on their seccondary attacks).

The idea of a chanter/druid seems fun, but you'll have to be able to move fast. Although, with mez/root/snare, you have tons of CC, and some lower-end nukes, but tons of DoT fun with the druid.

Overall, if you have limited experience in DC'ing, I'd stay away from two casters (may be too much to think about, especially if you get a bad pull), and stay away from classes that dont' stack well, or both rely on kiting (Pal/Clr for the former, and Rng/Dru for the latter), as their spells won't stack, and DC kiting is an artform =P

Um, yeah. I found this out the hard way!
