Just got out of the Dream, something keeps killing me?

Title explains; I can't do anything in the game or submit an in-game petition for help. I just made my first character, got through the Dream, zoned into Greater Faydark by default and as soon as I spawn a "khaezulian" something or other kills me. There was a big pile of my bodies before I had to force-close the game. Can someone help me?

It's possible you had the bad luck of starting right when a Kaezulian war event was happening. Basically these are periodically triggered events where an invasion force will attack zones and, if not repelled, will take them over until the zones are cleared out and restored by players.

I'm sure it seems like a big inconvenience now but when you're actually high enough level to partake in the events I swear they are cool . If you're intent on playing that character my advice would be to create a second character of a different race that starts somewhere else and to petition with that character to have your original moved to another zone, if you go that route don't forget to /cm bind after you're moved so you don't end up in the same situation the first time you die.

Oh and when/if you petition don't forget to include the name of the applicable character in the petition itself.
