Is there supposed to be an effect on the Jayla aug? Fomelo has the slot but its blank

Edit: Also, I know its supposed to be weaker then some of the others but atm it seems well underpar.

It's suppose to be roughly equivalent of the Enthann aug, which it pretty much is. But it does lack the special something it seems (enthann had the underpowerd focus effects, others have random item effects etc).

Now its also alot more work than Enthann's aug, which is a problem. As such enthann's quest will be getting a revisit, making it longer and more in line with the other aug quests. As such you'll end up doing more work to end up in the same place you are already. Thats the bad news for Enthann worshippers.

The good news is that you'll get alignment hits though, so it's not 100% bad. Just, like, 75% bad.

Yeah, it does seem a bit lacking, but I am honestly not sure how the balancing between augs is supposed to work. I also know that the stats on the augs (like a lot of items in SoD) are not finalized. The Marlow and Althuna augs seem to be quite impressive for their tier that you give up, and are way above the Enthann/Jayla augs, but like I said, I am not sure how they are supposed to be comparatively.

Edit: I also wanted to say that Enthann's quest was relatively short, but it is a bit different than the Jayla aug as well. Once you know where everything is, the quest is super easy. Wufai finished the Jayla aug in 2-3 days from start to finish.

Ya augment definitely seems lacking compared to Marlow considering you give up a Tier 5 zone for it only.

Well, you don't give up any raidzones for the Jayla aug, just a few days of sanity if you do the quest without spoilers.

Without advanced item effects, the number of people who do the Jayla aug will be drastically lower than with even a few points of *some*thing.

For instance, I can't imagine anyone would work on Jayla aug before working on Scale/Storm.
