Item Summoned Pets & SB Buffs

With the recent implement of SB buffs effecting summoned pets, something struck me as out of balance.

* Flame-Blade Sheath pets (and other item summoned pets i would speculate) receive SB benefits as if they were a normal pet. I feel this is out of balance for a few reasons:

A) There were many classes that are not intended to have pets. With this change, any char can have a real pet. (one that doesn't die in one hit, as item summoning creatures tend to be)

B) With buffs, the summoned pets can have HPs / haste / etc. buffs and become legit dps in a raid. Consider 18 players, 18 pets ( all non pet classes w/ item) And each of these extra pets becomes a factor because they get SB raid buffed?

I guess my real question is, are these pets intended to benefit from the SB change?

Considering that nothing prevented these pets from getting buffed in the past, I don't see how the SB pet thing is something new and unbalancing with regards to them.

Flame blade pet was always immune to buffs and heals though? I do not see the problem here since almost every situation where these would make a difference they would die to an aoe anyway.

If nothing else, you can now chain-summon crappy pets and they will have a good set of buffs, which is a change from before. There are plenty of situations where this might have a measurable effect, like xp groups or non-ae raid fights. I have never seen those crappy pets do more than piddly dps (and i'm always parsing), but haven't specifically parsed the unsheath pet.
