item stats in your inventory

I just had a question, and after using the search function on here I came up empty handed. Is there any way to view the stats of items in your inventory (or items for sale at merchants for that matter)? Maybe I'm missing something simple, but anyway, any information would be appreciated!

You could also always ask such basic questions in the starters guild Dalaya's Beginners, if you haven't left already (you shouldn't!) ;)
 
A random question I have is: How does one join the Dalaya's Beginner's guild again after leaving is?
 
It's a pretty good idea to hang around in Dalaya's Beginners, there are a lot of people who can help with simple questions to "new" players.. hell, I wish the game had that when I started
