Questions: (Want to know prior to buying item.)

1. Is the wiki statement of effects on the illusion correct? (Transform into a Werefrog. Gives a 75 point lifetap proc and Ultravision.)

2. Does the proc work with any/all weapons?

3. From experience, how many times should one expect the proc to work per fight? (Please state whether you duel wield or not.)

4. Does the illusion, when in first person, have "melee autoattack movement" similar to a normal character swinging weapons? (Normal char., elementals, etc.) Or, does it have a a melee movement similar to druid wolf form? (Lots of movement...quite annoying in my opinion.)

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes.

2. Yes.

3. It procs often and it rules. It is also effected by any damage increment you have and tome bonus.

4. The movement isn't as pronounced, and the 2hp animation is awesome.

I enjoy it in melee on my beastlord, why doesn't it proc off ranged? Is that true of other combat innate procs like that?

Aye, buff based procs only work on "auto" attacks. (Due to ranged attack, bash, kick, backstab, etc. all being "abilities" instead of "attacks.")

This was known to me prior to my request for information. But, again, thank you all.

Not quite true, rangers get some slef buffs that add range procs and the shade leather quiver comes to mind as well :keke:

This is a case of my Live vs. SoD knowledge (from a cleric main) I guess...my mistake. From what I understood, only weapon procs (the bow <ranged>, the main hand piercer <backstab>, the shield <bash>, etc. would actually proc when an "ability" was used. All "self and group" procs worked with auto attacks, but no abilities. <Exemption: Cleric "Reverse Dmg Shield" <Mark of Karn series> on a mob, which...if I remember correctly...., would work on abilities since it was based on "dmg dealt to mob.">

Either way, nice to know. :)
