Is this Warrior broken?

I just don't know what is wrong with this character:

I havn't parsed any logs or anything, but something just seems plain wrong. When acting as a main tank for my Magician, he is largely a pansie compared to a level 20 Elemental summon (which always con's blue to the warrior).

I've leveled for the most part in Warrens of late. Those kobolds regularly deal 20+ damage per swipe at Khroakay, unless they happen to be bashing. Isn't high AC supposed to mitigate some of the damage? It doesn't seem to be absorbing anything. The mobs in Warrens do the same damage per hit to both the mage pet and the mage himself. I tend to do mostly single/double pulls. I spend a LOT of time and bandages using bind wound after every fight. Even a blue con mob tends to get my War down to 75%. Most double pulls tend to get him to about 60-65% by the end of the encounter.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding how damage mitigation works.

Does anyone have any advice on what I should be doing differently?

You might want to try getting some masterwork golden platemail. The ac is slightly higher and some of the items have +str and +hp on them. My cleric is wearing just about all of the set, I only need to get one more bracer I think. Click on Fredigar in my signature to look at them. The armor comes from quests in Wyvernfang. Iv'e been away from the game for about a year, so I can't remember exactly where to find the guy who gives it. I remember he is standing near a coastline by a fire, surrounded by a camp of npcs of some race I forget. Want to say frogloks, but I could be mistaken. Going off very fuzzy memory there. The wiki has all the info for the quests you need. Just look up wyvernfang armor quests. It's not a big difference from what you have, but it's a start I suppose.

Hmm, I believe the big thing here, is that it sounds like you are duoing with a mage. While this may be fun, its fairly inefficient for a warrior to be doing. It may seem that they take they same damage as you, but you are probably taking slightly less... it will become more apparent later. What's most important is that a warriors job is to take command in a group, and control the mob's attentions, earth pets arent very good at this. Also, as a warrior, you tend to need a healer with you, at the very least a slower, but a healer is preferable, and both are even better. Basically, if you want to duo with a mage, your best bet is to probably let his pet get aggro and then contribute to dps, which is not too amazing for a warrior, as an understatement. However, the mage will be able to heal his pet fairly well. You might even be better off just letting the mage solo, and tagging along, as unfortunate as it is. On the other hand if you had a clr/dru/shm in the group, you could tank/be healed, and have the mage be dps. It's all group make-up, and my true point is, I don't think warrior/magician is going to work out as you had hoped.

let me throw my 2 cp into the mix. a warrior if he is to do his job right needs a healer..... if you real want to play a mage pick a new second chactor type like a nother pet type or say a rogue if you want to keep the melle type dps. hason the warrior
