Hey I was wondering if it would be allowed to trade ingame plat/items or an account for me hosting a Teamspeak server for someone, I don't know how many guilds in SoD use Teamspeak but it can get exspensive if you pay to have one hosted and if you host them on your home compuer you have to have your computer on all the time and it puts a strain on your computer. I host server for lots of people on my server I own. I have hosted many server for guilds in other games. Just let me know if this is allowed or not.

Sounds too close to trading ingame stuff for irl cash, which isnt allowed.

Well not really since I don't run a company I just host then personally. But just asking.

Paying someone platinum for a game-related service is acceptable, yes.

Wait what? You have always been able to trade and sell characters for pp. When did this change?

The last time I saw it mentioned in public was a couple months ago when Homogenn replied to a similar question with this answer:

You may sell characters for in-game plat. We don't allow it on the forums, because when we did, that was all there was in the trade forum. You may not in any way sell your character for RL money, since it will get you banned.

I must have missed that being announced (if it was; I knew it was going to happen eventually and after the char moves were done, but that was from staff chat).

there, it was announced just now, though i think they should make a seperate topic that announces "NO CHARS FOR PP" in the topic and then repeats that in a more complete manner inside. there's bound to be the people who say "but the announcement was buried in some unrelated topic!"

What about trading chars ?
Like i give a 65 rogue and get a 65 warrior?

Yeah, but you should keep in mind that whenever you are given a character, the original owner can claim it back at any time.

That's the reason we're disallowing all character purchases - we provide zero protection if they decide to screw you.

Kind of along the lines here, what if a character is given to 2 people, then one person changes the password?

Original account e-mail pretty much dictates how we act.

We will only fix the situation on the request of the original owner. Whoever is the original owner can get the account back whenever they want, anyone else has only the control over it they get from the original owner.
