Is anyone else here an Oldschooler like myself that not only knows what a mud is, but has played them? and if Yes!, then which ones and what types? ( you mudders will know what I mean by types >:) )

I personally bounced around alot, but mostly stuck to lp's. My main ones were Ithacasmud, and Shattered Worlds. Both still exist today. Other ones I vaguelly remember are TubMud, Nightfall, and Infinity.

I've played a bit of Aetolia in the past and have gotten into Discworld recently. Not really old-school MUDs, but still fun.
 
Muds were fun, until i realised that the computer could do graphics :)
I used to play muds and mushes alot in my early realy college days but after online games went graphical there was no going back to text to me. Mostly played Gemstone and DragonRealms. There was one called WinterMute that was based on the William Gibson Neuromancer universe that I played alot as well.
 
I started out mudding about 10 years ago on a ROM called Dragon Legends and Lore, which later evolved into Times of Chaos. I played it through its entire existance.

I had some building experience thoughout the years, and became a builder on the original Dystopia which was run by Jobo.

After Dystopia shutdown though, I haven't been able to keep my interest in mudding. I've tried over a hundred different muds, of all types with no success. Just seems like the same old grind: Either power leveling on an old school mud, or rushing to Mastery on a GW/Dyst type.
 
I didnt play to many different ones, but I played L.O.R.D for a few years, on a few dif BBS.

There is or was an online version of it too.

I recently got into playing DarkThrone, those interested in muds may like it.

First logged into a mud in the fall of 1992. Didn't really know a thing about it, and didn't do it again for another couple years. Started playing T2T around 1994 and went crazy for a while with it. Played a couple mushes as well but stuck with the 2T mud.

I pretty much ignored anything else out until EQ. Haven't done anything more than log on to a mud to see who's around since!

I've allways just played lp muds, I started to play on Midnight Sun in -92, but moved over to 3-kingdoms in -94, been playing on 3k on and off ever sience, still play there, I've tried a BUNCH of other muds, but don't remember many names, Tsunami is one atleast.
