Is 2boxing the same account still supported?

It has been a while since I've played on SoD. I'm just wondering if 2boxing on the same account is still supported because when I tried one of my clients crashed and that happened every time I tried. Thanks in advance!

but rule #9 is
Two children, and only two
No more than two clients are allowed to be played by the same person at the same time. Different computers or the same does not matter. You are allowed to dual-client/comp, you are just not allowed to tri-client/comp. So you can play a warrior and a cleric at the same time, but you cannot play a warrior, a cleric and a paladin at the same time. You may of course play a warrior, cleric and paladin and alternate between which two you play at the same time. It does not matter if you simply logged your enchanter in to buff the other two characters for a minute - you will be equally harshly punished as someone who played three characters for several hours. This rule is NOT ip-based. You are allowed to play more than two characters from a single IP/location, as long as these characters are being controlled by no less than one real person per two characters. We have ways of determining if there is a single person playing three characters at once (against the rules) or a married couple playing two characters at once each (not against the rules), for example.

It's not against the rule per sé it's just made so you technically won't be able to 2box from one account anymore.

It's allowed but more or less impossible to do.

Ah, alright. Thank you.

Correct.

Yea... when Meso asked if it was against the rules in THIS THREAD Wiz made it pretty clear he didn't want it to occur and that he had put in code to prevent it from working as it had before.

Wiz said:
Maybe you shouldn't circumvent our system and log in several characters on the same account?

Wiz said:
I'm not going to ban or jail you or anything, but if you are aware that something you're doing is not supposed to work, then you should not do it. That is a universal rule and applies in every instance covered by it.

Was it always against the rules? I remember in the WR days that it worked perfectly so that was what I did. Now when I do it my clients crash whenever I zone them within 5 minutes of eachother and it really sucks. I made these characters before the bugs, and now they are all too high level for my to reroll them on a seperate account.

it wasn't always against the rules back then but was made against the rules after the bug was discovered and reported.
a period of character transfers was offered but now you can only transfer characters if you donate.

From that Thread:

Exceptions
The occasional exception to this has and can be made - if you feel you have a compelling reason to request a character move (and are not a donator) you may do do by emailing as below.

Another question, and sorry if this is said in the rules. I'd hate to reread all of it.

My brother and I are coming back soon, and we both plan to 2 box behind the same router. Will this cause a problem or can the mods see the difference?

Thanks

They'll probably give you two a test if they suspect anything.

What I assumed.

Thanks man.

I guess once we're in game and going I'll send a gm a tell to talk it over with them.
