Invis Mobs in Prophets Landing

I have been attacked and killed by Mob(s) that were invisible (despite having see invis).

I could not target it (despite doing an assist on my pet who could see it).
I got no damage messages so that the only way I could tell I was being attacked was seeing my health bar go down.

Is this intended or was it a bug?

What, did they made this into a mob? The devs have gone mad with power.
 
Could you have been near the quarry looking area in the middle of the zone? The little scorps have odd physics.
