Invaild Password

Ok, I've checked the web page and done the steps for fixing what was suggested on the boards..

EQhost.txt Looks like

[Registration Servers]
{
"72.55.164.91"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"72.55.164.91:5997"
}
Ran the SoD Patcher again and my EQHost file isn't "Read Only"
Checked my ports and they all match.
Even shut off my fire walls and tried it with out them on.

I still get Invailed user name or password.
Any clues?

Check that you're using your sod game account and password, and NOT your forum account and password. You can do this by going http://www.shardsofdalaya.com/acctmanage/index.php and going to change password.

It will prompt you for the account and password. Just put in your current password.

If you're not using your correct account name and password, it will tell you.

If the page doesn't give you an error, then post here again on this.
 
Did that

Ok, changed the password and got

Password Change
Password successfully changed.

I'm going to bang around with some more today...
Thats after I pull a tune up on my truck.

Yah, using the patcher..

SoDpatcher. Txt says this

Starting SoD Patcher version 1.71 at 04/13/09 - 15:13:03
Retrieving patcher CRC.

Loading local file list from C:\Users\James\Downloads\\sodfiles.txt

So I'm pretty sure thats right.
It seems to patch every thing ok, and then I get the log on screen, and I'm not sure if it's for your server or not. I'm about to redo everything and see what happens then.

I'll keep bang'n away at it.

Ok, I'm stumped.

Every thing looks right, looks like I'm patching, looks like I'm getting to your log in screen, but then when I try and log in it tells me I'm invalid.

I'll try make'n a new account with another email and password and try that.
**Ponders...**

I'll check back when I've done that.
 
Are you using EQW? Are you specifying eqgame.exe to it? (Specifying *********.exe will take you back to live's login.) Is EQW pointing to the same eq directory that the patcher is pointing to?
 
Yah EQW points to

C:\Program Files\ ****\ ********* \ *********.exe

So if the patcher points to the EQ folder and then EQW goes to *********.exe, that should do it right?

Or is that the wrong **.exe, is there another one I should be useing?
 
Whats whit the Frigg'n ***'s up there.. should be
Program Files \ ****\ *********\ *********.exe

OK, thats odd.. do you all have it set that way?

Ok, just switched it over to eqgame.exe and got a error message...

Looking into that now..
at least its something, which is better then nothing..
Some times a new problem can help figure out why the whole thing isn't working
 
Ok I get

the first windowed box says "EQW beta 2.35a" but it never fills in with info because the second box comes up an error notice,

"Error opening packed file system" and what looks like some Korean writing behind it..

checking the boards now for any info

Found tons of info.. and it looks like

Solution really is just get Titanium. FTW

I'll have to get this from a friend of mine in a few days and try it then.
seems Evolution isn't a good enough cd set to start with.

Thanks for all the help everyone, I'll get back on here after I try a new install with his Titanium.
