Introduction of me

Hey folks. I'm running the patcher right now and looking forward to joining the community. I've actually never played this before but other games have turned pretty sour for me. I did some time on private servers on that end, and the community turnover as well as servers is starting to bite at me. I figured I might actually enjoy going back and checking out the predecessors to games I have played, and coming across this turned me on. As a student and working full time, etc, my gaming time is rather limited and private servers seem to be the most amenable for a schedule such as mine. Anyway, was just wondering if anybody might have some input on what might be the best class to start out as, etc etc as I get familiar with the SoD environment. Look forward to seeing you all in game, probably will end up naming my first character Hard if it's not taken yet.

I've gotten in the bad habit of assuming not being stupid is what's usually the basis of policies. I'll go check them out - if you could I tossed something up in the tech support forum if you might have any input on how to help me out with that. Thanks again

"Not being stupid" is not the basis for all the rules here. Pretty much "what Wiz wants" is the basis of the rules here. And "pretty much what Wiz wants" has to do with the kind of server that he thinks is perfect. So definitely read the rules. Your idea of an ideal server is likely different than his.

And, welcome to the server. Despite not always agreeing with all of the rules, I think you will find that this is a great place to spend some cyber time.
