Intresting Idea,new trade skill.Dowsing!

I know forage is for finding food and water and other intresting things,but mostly thing of little or no value.Now i suggest,dowsing for valuable items,like diffrent kind of gems,ofcouse when you first start at skill level :1 your going to find crappy things not worth much,and it will progress slowly like forage does,and you'd need dowsing rods.

I mean people for hundreds of years have been dowsing to find valuable items,water,ore and even gold.

Or it could work like tracking,except if you have a low skill in it you will only see crappy items from the list to choose from.Maybe there'd be a slight chance at a low skill to find something worth a couple platnium pieces.



Anyways I've pitched the same idea at Sony,and never got a reply cause its probaly a stupid idea,but what the heck,maybe not.thanks,feel free to comment.

I think that its not possible because every skills is in game eqgame.exe thing... Forage in eqgame.exe, track in eqgame.exe.. the thing u wanted Dowsing NOT in eqgame.exe, I think its would be hard for Wiz to hax0r eqgame.exe to add Dowsing skill...

What about database you said? Im not really great C++ programmer, i know just 'basic'.. like cin>name, cout<"hello " name " , i suxx0r at c++"<endl; .. but i understand that when player using forage skill, push it, then it goes to database on server, and ServerOP (wiz) decide what item to give to player back to eqgame.exe..

To sum it up, adding new skill in database wont work - i *think*

but its up to Wiz to add valueable item to forage, but i think that foraging valueable item will ruin the economy to WR server.
